Trevor Ycas:  Who. Where. When. Why

“Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.”

— Jonathan Swift

Bio

Trevor Ycas is a visual artist, photographer, experimenter and generally curious individual based in Boulder, Colorado.

When I'm not taking photos, you'll find me somewhere between 4000' and 14,000', exploring mountains, deserts, or spending time with my art, friends, family and community.

Expertise

My work focuses on capturing a phenomenon, a texture, a pattern, whether it's natural wonders, industrial imagery, or just plain weird and interesting light.

Always experimenting with new techniques, like blending digital technologies with hand drawing, much of my work is derived from multiple processes or sources. I draw with ink, graphite, and charcoal. I work with a DSLR on the ground, and smaller digital cameras when in extreme environments the DSLR can't tolerate. I work in 3D environments digitally as well as 2D raster and vector environments.

I like pixels.
